Project Name: The Ministry of Infrastructure Renewal Program

The Ministry of Infrastructure Renewal works with partners to modernize public infrastructure, plan for growth, and care for the environment. This agency also manages the government’s capitol assets such as the L.B.C.O., The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, the real estate arm of the government The Ontario Realty Corporation, and the Waterfront Toronto.

This project consisted of very tight deadlines for completion which encompassed our project team working double shifts and weekends along with our sub trades to complete this on time and within budget. The work included the demolition of the existing space, bringing it back to base building and the construction of all new offices, meeting rooms, boardrooms, and lunchrooms. There was an extensive use of glass partitions with varying styles of glazed panels to let the natural sunlight reflect in thru the entire space, alon g with a vibrant color scheme to enhance the work space. The area also incorporated many pieces of high-end  millwork, such as wooden boomerangs suspended from the ceilings complete with intregal pendant lighting. The boardroom ceilings were constructed of drywall with bulkhead perimeters.  They architect also used shop finished maple millwork lit by clear acrylic lenses and pendant lighting which was suspended from the ceiling slab. A portion of the circulation corridorss were constructed with wood veneers and glass lites to provide a open concept look and give an executive feel to the space.
